The historic nature of this establishment was intriguing. The fact that the hotel is a converted jail from 1862 was an interesting twist. The WC in the rooms being former jail cells was amusing and made for a unique experience. the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We loved the fact that tea was available at all hours, perfect for a cozy evening in. the location was also ideal, with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Plus, the WC in the room added to the novelty of staying in a former jail cell.

The historic building that houses this hotel was impressive, with rooms that kept the original design of the old cells. the friendly staff never missed a chance to make our stay a luxurious one, and the exclusive amenities in our room only added to the feeling of indulgence. While this hotel is truly luxurious, the breakfast left something to be desired. Although the quality of the food was good, we were expecting a bit more variety given the price point.
