The historic nature of this establishment was intriguing. The fact that the hotel is a converted jail from 1862 was an interesting twist. The WC in the rooms being former jail cells was amusing and made for a unique experience. the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast left a lot to be desired. While the price of the stay was affordable, the breakfast did not match in quality.

Staying in this historic prison, turned, hostel was a unique and memorable experience during our romantic escape. the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We loved the fact that tea was available at all hours, perfect for a cozy evening in. the location was also ideal, with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Plus, the WC in the room added to the novelty of staying in a former jail cell.
The breakfast, which left a bit to be desired. we understand that it's a budget hostel and a more lavish breakfast would likely come with a higher price tag.

The historic building that houses this hotel was impressive, with rooms that kept the original design of the old cells. the friendly staff never missed a chance to make our stay a luxurious one, and the exclusive amenities in our room only added to the feeling of indulgence. We had access to a plush private lounge, as well as a leisure room with a state, of, the, art TV system.
While this hotel is truly luxurious, the breakfast left something to be desired. Although the quality of the food was good, we were expecting a bit more variety given the price point.

The staff here is incredibly friendly and always available to help out. They even provide tea at all hours, which is a nice touch. the location is quite unique, as the hostel is actually a historical building that used to be a jail. the rooms are former jail cells, which adds to the interesting atmosphere. Plus, there are notable prisoners who once stayed here, such as Marie Hamsun and her son Arild, who had intriguing stories to tell.
The breakfast options are limited. But considering all the other great features of this place, it's understandable.
